CAF’s turnover amounted to 2,735 million euros until September

The order book of the railway business as of September 30 reached 10,882 million euros

CAF’s turnover reached 2,735 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2023, which represents an increase of 25 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

The group’s operating result as of September 30 stood at 128 million euros, compared to 97 million in the same period of the previous year. Contracting during the period in the railway sector amounted to 2,072 million euros, coming mainly from clients such as Renfe and Euskotren.
Thus, in the third quarter of the year, Renfe awarded CAF the supply of 32 medium-distance trains, twenty-four of them with three cars and eight with four, an expansion of units foreseen in the contract signed at the end of 2022. To Euskotren, CAF will supply five four-car trains equipped with on-board ERTMS level 1 that will also incorporate the twenty-eight units in service of the operator’s 950 series.
CAF’s railway order portfolio stood at 12,248 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2023, 0.4 percent less than in the same period of 2022. The railway business accounts for 78 percent of the group’s sales.
