The Caia Dam is already carrying out surface releases. The floodgates were opened on the morning of Friday, February 9th.
Yesterday, the dam had around 186.8 million cubic meters of water stored, which corresponded to 98.32 percent of the recommended volume for discharges (190 million).
According to data provided by the Caia Beneficiaries Association, the dam had an elevation of 232.61 meters.
It is recalled that the last discharge had been carried out in January 2023, when surface discharges were carried out to control the storage level.
