On Wednesday, the 22nd, the bank will participate in a Desenrola joint effort, a joint action by the federal government, and will open all physical branches across the country an hour earlier

Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) renegotiated R$5.02 billion in debt through Desenrola, the federal government’s renegotiation program, until Monday, 20th. In total, the bank served 215.2 thousand customers, through the renegotiation of 273.5 thousand commercial contracts.

On Wednesday, the 22nd, the bank will participate in a Desenrola joint effort, a joint action by the federal government, and will open all physical branches across the country an hour earlier.

There will be specialized assistance both for Desenrola and for the renegotiation of Fies debts and the settlement of Minha Casa Minha Vida contracts for those who receive the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC) or Bolsa Família.

The government’s idea with the joint effort is to encourage adherence to Desenrola, which in the current phase, called Track 1, has been lower than expected by the market.

In the Fies renegotiation, Caixa had more than R$2.99 billion in debts settled since opening, on November 7th. R$2.54 billion in discounts were granted to 61.1 thousand students, with an average discount of 85.21% in relation to the original values.
