CaixaBank expands its DayOne division to cover Girona’s technology companies

CaixaBank has created a team specialized in supporting start-ups, scale-ups and investors in Catalonia for to provide coverage to innovative technological companies in Girona. “DayOne offers its customers innovative products and services suitable for this group and promotes small-format meetings, periodically connecting its customers with strategic partners”, they say from the entity.

The DayOne division it will provide coverage to technology-based companies in the area, where the technological ecosystem has experienced remarkable growth. “A clear example of this evolution is the last edition of the EmprènXXI Awards, in which 217 Catalan start-ups submitted applications, which represents an increase of 62% compared to the previous edition”, they state in a statement.

The territorial director of CaixaBank in Catalonia, Josep Mª Gonzàlez, emphasizes that “the implementation of the DayOne model in Girona represents an step further in our entity’s strategy of offering a specialized banking model by segmentadjusted to the needs of each customer profile”.

For his part, Miquel Manzano, CaixaBank head of DayOne Catalunya, points out that “CaixaBank has taken the Catalan and Girona business fabric into account when expanding its DayOne service and it clearly implies our commitment to Catalonia as at pole of first level in the creation of innovation”.
