Josu Etxeberria, a 23-year-old Navarrese runner from Caja Rural-RGA, was hit by a car this Wednesday at 1:24 p.m. while training on the NA-4120 in Iza, north of Navarra, and suffers multiple injuries. Given their severity, he was admitted to the ICU of the Navarra Hospital, where he was transferred by helicopter.
As reported by the Navarrese team, the Iturmendi runner, “within gravity, is conscious and moves his extremities.”

It so happens that Etxeberria, who joined the team in 2019 from the reserve team, suffered a major fall in France a little over a year ago that caused him to break six vertebrae and forced him to undergo surgery.
