This is how you can calculate Bonus 14 with the Ministry of Labor page
- Access the platform: Go to or visit mintrabajo.gob.gt and look for the option “Calculate your Bonus 14.”
- Initial verification: Press the “I am not a robot” button and enter your name and DPI number. These last details are optional, you decide whether to add them or not. Click continue.
- Working Information: Select your department and municipality. Optionally, you can enter the name of your company and economic activity.
- Important dates: In the first calendar, enter the date on which you started working. Then another calendar will appear in which you must enter the date on which you received the Bonus 14 payment in 2023.
- Salary and mail: Enter the amount of your regular salary, without adding the Q 250.00 incentive bonus. Also add your email address so that the information can be sent to you.
Why is the amount shown on the page greater than what I received?
The amount shown on the page may be higher because the amount entered for salary is less than the regular amount you currently receive each month. This benefit is calculated taking into account the regular salary, not including bonuses, overtime or commissions.
Also, if you had a salary increase in the last few months, the calculation must be based on the average salary received during the year, which starts in July of the previous year and ends in June of the current year. If this is your case, to obtain better results, add the ordinary salary received in the last 12 months and divide the result by 12, this is the amount you must enter in the fourth step.
Facts you should not forget about this benefit
- Deadline: The last date to receive payment is July 15 and it must be a one-time payment.
- Proportional calculation: If you have been working for the company for less than a year, the amount to be received is calculated proportionally. The calculation can be done by dividing the regular salary by 365 days; the result is multiplied by the number of days you have been working for the company.
- Complaints: Failure to pay within the specified period may be reported to the Ministry of Labour.
