BOLZANO. Three men were stopped by the Carabinieri of Termeno while they were wandering around the houses of Pianizza di Sopra, in the municipality of Caldaro, at night. On board their car the soldiers found a baseball bat, which was seized.
It all started with the report of a resident, who had noticed the presence of a suspicious man wandering around the houses in the hamlet. Once on site, the police identified and stopped a black Audi A4: there were two individuals on board the car who were unable to justify their presence in the area. During the operations, a third individual, corresponding to the description provided by the witness, was also found, hiding in the bushes of a dead-end street.
The subject, evidently in a state of intoxication, showed little cooperation, initially refusing to provide his identity documents and attempting to leave several times. The search of the car led to the discovery of a baseball bat, the possession of which was not justified by the occupants.
The object was seized and the driver of the 2004-class car, without residence in the national territory, was referred to the Judicial Authority for unjustified possession of instruments capable of offending. Another individual, born in 1981, resident in the province of Trento, was reported for refusing to provide his personal details. The Carabinieri renew their invitation to the population to collaborate with the police, promptly reporting any suspicious situations to the emergency number 112, to guarantee collective safety.
