The United States California BNP has provided financial support to the BNP’s central relief fund to help those affected by massive floods in the eastern part of the country.

On Monday (September 9) morning, the aid check was handed over in a ceremony on the ground floor of BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan of the capital.

California BNP president Badrul Alam Chowdhury Shiplu and general secretary M Wahid Rahman supervised and with the support of other party leaders, a check of Tk 5 lakh 25 thousand 20 was submitted to the central relief collection center of BNP.

The check was sent to the central office of BNP by the convenor of the relief collection committee, Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and member secretary Advocate Abdus Salam handed over to Azad, former vice president of Patuakhali district BNP Mohammad Moriruzzaman Monir. BNP Deputy Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu, Chhatra Dal former Vice President Ejmal Hossain Pilot and others were present at this time.

It should be noted that the recent floods in the country have caused extensive damage in many districts of the eastern part of the country. In view of this, on the immediate instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman, the previously announced program of the foundation anniversary was postponed and a fund collection and prayer ceremony was organized for the flood victims on August 31.
