The changes in communication paradigms in radio in the era of artificial intelligence will focus the attention of the La Nueva Radio Postgraduate Course, from December 4 to 8, at the José Martí International Institute of Journalism.

Led by Ana Teresa Badía, from Cuba, and Lucía Fernández Cívico, from Argentina, among other teachers, the course will cover contemporary trends in radio, its new theoretical paradigms and the trends in journalism and radio communication. In an era marked by communication on the web, social networks and new type of sound production, this new edition of the course will provide an intensive approach to podcast production.

Through participatory conferences and workshops, teachers and students will analyze how traditional radio tools and production are reconfigured in the digital age. With new technologies, communication conceptions change, proposing other ways, discourses and supports to tell stories. New opportunities arise for community radio.

Along with podcasts, the course will examine production tools, new designs, recording and format conversion, image in radio and radio in social networks, as well as the dynamics of advertising in this communicative environment.

In alliance with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund and the Center for Demographic Studies (CEDEM), of the University of Havana, this academic proposal will also examine the contribution of local radio stations to the work of the Demographic Observatories under development in Cuba , in the context of the implementation of the Policy for Attention to Demographic Dynamics.
