With the aim of publicizing business and commercial exchange opportunities, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador (Camarasal) , developed the Korea-El Salvador Business Forum.

The event was called: “Strengthening economic cooperation, within the framework of the Korea-Central America FTA” and was an opportunity to strengthen the commercial and friendship ties that unite El Salvador with the Republic of Korea in all areas.

The event was preceded by Choo Won Hoon, ambassador of Korea; Miguel Kattan, Secretary of Commerce and Investments of the Presidency; and Leticia Escobar, president of Camarasal.

“For El Salvador, Korea has established itself as a key commercial ally, with a growing participation in our economy. The Central Reserve Bank indicates that, from 2017 to August 2024, our exports to Korea have experienced a notable growth of 193%, going from $13.21 million to $38.74 million,” said Leticia Escobar during her speech.
