Actress Cameron Diaz has come to the defense of her co-star Jamie Foxx, as the two prepare to team up once again for the upcoming Netflix film, “Back in Action.”

In a recent interview on the “Lipstick on the Rim” podcast, Diaz addressed the rumors and reports surrounding working with Foxx, dismissing claims that he was challenging to work with. “I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time,” Diaz expressed. “You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

Diaz went on to praise Foxx, calling him “the cheerleader for the entire crew” and emphasizing that “everybody loves him.” She described the experience of working with Foxx as fun, adding, “He’s just a professional on every level.”

“Back in Action” marks Diaz’s return to the big screen, following her role in 2014’s “Annie,” in which she also co-starred with Foxx. The film is directed by Seth Gordon and co-written with Brendan O’Brien. In addition to Foxx and Diaz, the star-studded cast includes Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.

Foxx, who suffered a “medical complication” in April continues to recover, something that Diaz expressed happiness in knowing. She also addressed her frustrations with people trying to take Foxx down, emphasizing his class and grace in the face of adversity.

“Back in Action” is expected to bring the dynamic duo of Diaz and Foxx back to the screen in what promises to be another thrilling and entertaining project.
