It is with immense sadness that the Cameroon Bar learned this Tuesday March 14, 2024 of the death of Master M’BOHOU Georges, eminent lawyer practicing in Douala. A disappearance which plunges the entire profession into mourning and which arouses a wave of emotion within the Cameroonian legal world.

Registered on the roll of the Order of Lawyers since October 25, 1996, Me M’BOHOU Georges was a respected and appreciated figure in the Cameroonian bar. With nearly 30 years of practice, he embodied excellence and dedication to the service of justice.
A committed and passionate lawyer, he left his mark on the profession with his eloquence, his rigor and his keen sense of ethics. His disappearance leaves a great void in the courtrooms, where his voice carried loudly the values of the rule of law and the defense of freedoms.

The entire Cameroon Bar Association is in mourning today. In a press release full of emotion, the Representative of the President for the Littoral Region expressed the deep sadness of the profession in the face of this immense loss.

According to information communicated by the Council of the Order, Me M’BOHOU Georges took his last breath this Tuesday morning around 10 a.m. at the Douala General Hospital, following an illness.
If the shock is immense for his loved ones and the community of lawyers, everyone is already mobilized to organize a last tribute worthy of this servant of the law. The funeral program will be communicated later, but there is no doubt that the profession will be there to say a final farewell to this tenor of the bar.
The death of Me M’BOHOU Georges is an immense loss for the Cameroonian bar and for all those who believe in justice and the rule of law. Through his rigor, his commitment and his humanity, he will have had a lasting impact on the legal profession and inspired generations of jurists.
