Camilo and Evaluna Celebrate the Birth of Their Second Daughter, Amaranto

by time news

Singers Camilo and Evaluna announced the birth of their second daughter, Amaranto, through social media.

Only upon the birth of the little one did the artists reveal that it was a girl. “Amaranto. All the frogs came out to sing your welcome. Golden velvet girl. Daddy caught you and you painted his hands forever. Sovereign of the midnight. Welcome,” was the message they posted on social media, announcing the birth of Índigo’s younger sister.

The Colombian singer and his Venezuelan wife, both dedicated to music, announced last February that they were expecting their second baby and shared a video on social media in which the singer recited a poem and showed Índigo and Amaranto’s refuge.

In the first image they shared after the birth of the new baby, the whole family is on a bed, while Camilo holds Índigo, who, with a smile on her face, is holding the newborn Amaranto.

One of the images they uploaded to Instagram draws attention because it shows Camilo assisting his wife during childbirth. In this regard, a few weeks ago, the Colombian singer spoke about his commitment at that moment.

“I have read and studied a lot because I want to assist the midwife in this birth. In Índigo’s birth, I was an active companion, but I did not have the knowledge to assist actively. I would like to receive Amaranto directly; it’s complex, it’s not ‘just put your hands’, no, it’s a whole thing,” commented the musician born in Medellín.

Amaranto was born naturally, without anesthesia, epidural, or cesarean section.

Despite the pregnancy being normal, there was alarm due to an accident that Evaluna suffered when she was six months pregnant. The member of the Montaner clan fell from a hammock while carrying Índigo. Despite the strong blow, there were no consequences to lament.

Neither Camilo nor Evaluna have revealed the meaning of the name Amaranto, but they did indicate that they will be just as strict as they have been with Índigo in protecting the new girl’s privacy and not showing her face on social media and with the press. In this regard, Ricardo Montaner’s daughter mentioned that the decision to appear in public, or not, will fall to the children when they are older.

Camilo will continue his new tour, Nuestro lugar feliz tour, in September. It will kick off in Los Angeles on September 26 and finish in Bogotá on December 6. He will travel to 13 cities over two months.
