Valparai: A special medical camp for the disabled was held at Valparai and was attended by 150 people. The camp was headed by Subhash, the District Project Officer for the disabled.
Valparai Government High School Headmaster Sivanraj, Integrated School Education Department, Regional Resource Center Superintendent (P) Rajaram presided over the function. Valparai Municipal Chairman Alakusundaravalli inaugurated the camp. In the camp, mentally retarded, 93; People with physical disabilities, 63; Deafness, 25, visual impairment, 23 were examined.
50 people were given new cards. The camp was attended by a total of 150 students with disabilities. Assistive devices and those in need of surgery have also applied. Various problems of the disabled students were solved and appropriate treatment was given. Municipal councilors and teacher trainers attended.
