One in three doctors in Campania is involved in healthcare companies that carry out intramoenia activities outside the structures where they work.

This cross-sectional study analyzes data processed by the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas) and validated by the Ministry of Health under the direction of Minister Orazio Schillaci. The study focuses on the “Alps” phenomenon, which refers to the voluntary activities of internists performed outside working hours in favor of and at the free choice of paying patients. This activity aims to supplement and support the services provided by institutions.
