In recent days, the Public Health and Hygiene Operations Unit of the Provincial Health Services Company has received several reports of cases of gastroenteritis accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea in the Campitello di Fassa area. Based on the testimonies of people who showed the first symptoms of gastroenteritis and in agreement with the municipal authorities, Apss immediately began checking the water network. The various analyses carried out on the Campitello di Fassa aqueduct have confirmed the non-compliance of the water. As a precaution, the Municipality has issued an order to boil water for food use and has disinfected the water network by increasing the chlorination of the water.

Gastrointestinal symptoms affected approximately 50 people, some of whom turned to the continuity of care doctor and the tourist guard, while others went directly to the emergency room at the Cavalese hospital. From the analyses carried out on some cases that passed through the emergency room, today the confirmation of the water-based origin of the infectious episodes arrived. Further checks have been scheduled over the next few days until the return from non-compliance to guarantee public health.
