Rabat – The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) deplored, Monday, “without being in the logic of the accusation” all the unsporting acts following the Morocco-DR Congo match, played the day before, on behalf of the 2nd day of group F of the African Cup of Nations (CAN Côte d’Ivoire-2023).

The Federation also highlighted “the exceptional cooperation between the FRMF and the Congolese Federation (FECOFA)”, noting that “the number of Congolese players playing in Morocco and the football exchanges existing between the two federations are true testimony to this.”

The FRMF also noted that its president, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, was the first to congratulate the coach of the Congo team, Sébastien Desabre, “reflecting the state of mind of the selection which ‘is evident throughout the match.

“Moreover, the Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi attended the care of the Congolese player Henoc Inonga Baka,” added the same source.

“By providing these details, the FRMF reiterates its attachment to the values ​​of good conduct, ethics and fair play and considers that these facts will only strengthen the fraternal ties between the two countries,” concludes the update.
