“The new players called up quickly adapted with the group,” said Regragui at a press conference after the match against the Central African Republic (4-0), adding that these players, like Jamal Harkas, Youssef Belammari, Osame Sahraoui and even Reda Belahyane, have given satisfaction and will have time to evolve with the squad.

Commenting on the performance of Eliesse Ben Seghir, the coach stressed that “we saw a great level from this player with whom we worked a lot”, adding that “he had a good match by going deep. He has a lot qualities and he will grow with the national team. We are lucky to have picked him up to join the national team.

Concerning the Central African players, Regragui estimated that “they are good offensively and tactically rigorous”, explaining that “I had fears about the 2nd match against the Central African Republic, but the national elements managed the meeting well”.

He noted that the national team “left a lot of space behind when they were in a high block”, adding that “we will have more certainty by playing more matches”.

“The most important thing is to find the balance between the offensive block to score goals and the defensive block so as not to be surprised on the counter-attack,” he stressed.

Thanks to this new victory against the Central African Republic, Morocco consolidates its place at the top of Group B with 12 points obtained in four victories, ahead of Gabon which has 7 points. The Central African Republic is third with 3 points, while Lesotho brings up the rear with a single point.

During the 5th day, the national team will travel to Gabon on November 11, while Lesotho will host the Central African Republic.
