jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan National Pilkada Winning Team, Adian Napitupulu, said that the friendship established by his party colleague Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok with Anies Baswedan should not be directly linked to the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
He said this in response to questions from the media crew regarding Ahok’s communication with Anies regarding the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“So it’s like this, not everyone who visits, talks to each other, it must be related to this, it must be related to this,” said Adian when met at iNews Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday (31/7).
The Deputy Secretary General of PDI Perjuangan said that Ahok’s visit to Anies could have discussed issues outside of politics, such as shirts and trousers.
“Just let them, they can chat about other things. About pants, about clothes, and all the familiarity can start from anywhere,” said Adian.
The Indonesian House of Representatives legislator said that a person with another figure could have different paths in politics. However, coffee and food could be what unites two figures to be close.
“People say that we cannot meet in political choices, well, we can meet in coffee choices, in food choices, many,” said Adian.
He personally does not want to see every meeting or gathering of figures directly linked to the political contest in 2024.
Communication between Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok with Anies Baswedan may not be related to political contestation.
