Canada reports 1,411 ‘monkeypox cases’

OTTAWA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) — On Friday (Oct. 7), the Canadian Health Service. A total of 1,411 cases of monkey pox were confirmed in the country, including 38 hospitalized patients.

The total confirmed cases includes 674 from Ontario, 521 from Quebec, 167 from British Columbia, 41 from Alberta, 3 from Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territory. Two, including Nova Scotia, Manitoba and New Brunswick, one each.

Canada will begin a second monkeypox vaccination this week, which will be given to people who are not asymptomatic. and injected 28 days away from the first dose

Experts say monkeypox is a viral infection that can spread from person to person through close contact with an infected person. This includes hugging, kissing, massage, or sex.
