Canada shoots down an unknown object that was flying over its airspace

Canada has shot down this Saturday an unknown object that has violated the country’s airspace and was flying at high altitude, as announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The device has been detected by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad), an organization formed by Canada and the United States, and shot down while over Yucón, a territory in the northwest of the country bordering Alaska.

This event occurs after the United States shot down an unknown flying object that was flying over Alaska and shot down a balloon of Chinese origin that was allegedly used by Beijing for espionage tasks.

“I ordered the downing of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace,” Trudeau said on Twitter.

Planes from the United States and Canada participated in the device monitoring operation, although it was an American F-22 that “has successfully fired” at the object, detailed the Prime Minister, who has coordinated with the President of the United States. United, Joe Biden.

Trudeau has assured that the Canadian Armed Forces will recover the remains of the downed device for analysis.

On Friday, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, has ordered to shoot and shoot down an unidentified object that was flying over frozen waters in the state of Alaska.

The White House has not given details of the origin of said object but it has explained that it was different from the Chinese balloon that was shot down last week after flying over several states of the United States.

The United States has accused the Chinese government of having developed, with the involvement of the Armed Forces, a balloon “program” for espionage work and that they have already flown over more than 40 countries on 5 continents.

Due to the discovery of said balloon, the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, suspended a trip that he had planned to Beijing.

China defends that the balloon that the United States shot down last Saturday was a meteorological device that “deviated from its original course” due to “force majeure.”
