A centuries-old tunnel is about to open to the public on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It offers visitors a new and special view of the natural spectacle. The observation deck is part of the Niagara Parks Power Station and is accessible via an elevator. This descends 55 meters and from there you get to a 600 meter long sewage tunnel. At the end is the new viewing platform. Built in 1905, the Niagara Power Station is a well-preserved and disused hydroelectric power station. Niagara Falls are world famous and are formed by the Niagara River on the border between the US state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario. The tunnel with the new view of the impressive natural spectacle is to be opened to visitors from July 1st.
