Details of the Charges

The man pleaded guilty to six offenses.These included possessing and sharing child abuse material on the internet, grooming a child online overseas, and persistent child sex abuse against his two-year-old granddaughter.

During the examination, police uncovered a disturbing collection on his devices. They found nearly 900 images, along with a document titled The Paedophile’s Handbook.

The offender’s daughter shared a victim impact statement. She told the court that she had been estranged from her father for several years. However, she reconnected with him when she became ill and needed assistance.

“I was vulnerable,” the woman stated.

She explained that she accepted help from her father because she believed that life was too short to hold onto the past. She had convinced herself that he had changed.
