Corona curfew, various changes made to public rail transport. Passenger trains are not yet operational for preventive measures. Public boxes on all express trains were converted into 2nd class seat reservation boxes.
Meanwhile, due to the continuous demand of passengers, the booking system for public compartments on the basis of trains operating within the same zone on the Southern Railway is being canceled.
In this case, the D-9 to D-12 boxes on both routes of the Intercity Express from Trichy to Thiruvananthapuram via Madurai will be converted into public boxes on the 3rd.
Similarly, D-7 and D-8 compartments will be converted to public compartments on both the express trains from Nagercoil to Coimbatore via Madurai from the 17th. It is to be noted that bookings have already been canceled on the 2nd class seating compartments along with the general compartment for the disabled on these trains.
