The head of the Supreme Committee for Secondary School Certificate Examinations, Dr. Muhammad Salih Fadil, announced the cancellation of the exams of 138 students (126 in the science section, 91 in physics and mechanics, 35 in Islamic education, 12 in the literary section, 6 in geography, and 6 in Islamic education), due to their contribution to cheating and bringing their mobile phones into the examination halls.
The Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity quoted Fadhel as saying that cases of cheating were recorded in the municipalities of (Tobruk, Susa, Benghazi, Saluq, Kufra, Sirte, Misurata, Zliten, Al-Khums, Tarhuna, Qasr Al-Akhyar, Tajoura, Al-Ajilat, Al-Jadida, Al-Araban, Yafran, Al-Qardah Wadi Al-Shati, Brak Al-Shati, Wadi Al-Buwanis, Wadi Atba, Al-Marj, Nalut, Rabiana, Souq Al-Juma, Qasr Bin Ghashir, Al-Zawiya Al-Gharb, Sabratha, Al-Barakat).
The ministry indicated that the total number of students whose exams were cancelled for their contribution to cheating and bringing their mobile phones into the examination halls throughout the examination period amounted to 1,122 male and female students.
Yesterday, Thursday, the final exams for the secondary education completion certificate for the academic year (2023-2024) concluded, for which 115,110 students across the country took the exam.
91,231 male and female students studying in the science department, and 23,452 male and female students in the literature department took their final exam today in Islamic education, while 427 male and female students in religious education took their exam in the Noble Hadith.
This year’s exams, which were held under the slogan “We Examine with Confidence,” were supervised by 2,366 supervisors, 815 committee heads, 815 educational monitors, 19,348 observers, 815 psychological counselors, 815 health workers, and 3,260 security personnel.
