Candidate with Giorgos Hatzimarkos is Mattheos Hatzigeorgiou from Rhodes

The candidacy of Matthias Hatzigeorgiou, alongside the Regional Governor of the South Aegean, George Hatzimarkos, is announced by the faction “For the South Aegean” for the upcoming regional elections in the Regional Unit of Rhodes.

Mr. Hatzigeorgiou, journalist and radio producer, Vice President in the team of Evklis Soronis, states in his statement announcing his decision to partner with Giorgos Hatzimarkos:

“For me it is a great and special honor the proposal made to me by the Regional Governor of the South Aegean, Mr. Giorgos Hatzimarkos, to participate in the October elections as a candidate for Regional Councilor in the Regional Unity of Rhodes with the faction he leads, “Forward the South Aegean”.

I accepted the proposal of the Regional Governor without a second thought for the following reasons:

Giorgos Chatzimarkos is above all a man, a workaholic, a perfectionist and a politician with a great vision for our Rhodes and the other islands of the Region. His contribution to our country is great and invaluable. It is no coincidence that the South Aegean Region comes first in almost all sectors and this is due solely to Giorgos Hatzimarkos and his own strategy and plan for our region, which he implements with great dedication. The projects on our islands speak for themselves. Projects that should have been done many years ago and only Giorgos Hatzimarkos dared to bring them forward and implement them. I believe that I can also contribute to this important effort and I hope that my compatriots will give me this opportunity.”

Biography of Matthew Hatzigeorgiou

Mattheos Hatzigeorgiou is a journalist, radio producer and DJ in Greece, Cyprus and abroad.

From 2016 until today, he is the program director at the radio station Best 103.1. He has worked as a music producer at the radio stations Top Fm – Radio Archangelos 94.1.

He is a graduate of KAR School of Journalism.

He is Vice President in the team of Evklis Soronis. His engagement with the public began many years ago in various clubs in Soroni, in the village where he was born.
