Firmware Update Adds New Features to EOS C70 4K Digital Cinema Camera

Firmware version 1.0.5.1 for the EOS C70 includes a variety of feature upgrades to enhance performance and support for content creation, live broadcasting and documentary shooting. The main upgraded features are:

  • Added XC protocol: The perfect solution for multi-camera production. Direct control is supported via the RC-IP100 remote controller (sold separately) and via Ethernet connection.
  • Enhanced autofocus capabilities: Autofocus is now available at 120p/100p recording, with Face Detection AF during slow and fast shooting modes.
  • Audio 4ch display: Displays the audio level of all 4 channels when this mode is selected.
