Paris showed a very insipid face against the Merlus, and let OM go up to five points and Lens to nine units, which have not yet played.

The Parisian coach, also mired in an extra-sports affair, had deplored the work of his midfielder in Angers, and in particular the low number of balls arriving at the feet of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. But it was quickly a losing bet for Galtier, as the first half was disastrous in the game, with a succession of lost duels and a constant false rhythm.

Lhe Paris Saint-Germain, without envy, insipid in the game and reduced to ten for more than an hour, sank on Sunday at the Parc des Princes against Lorient (3-1) during the 33e Ligue 1 day. Strongly the end of the season for PSG, author once again of a mediocre match, passive and unable to have a start. And after their victory against Auxerre at the Vélodrome stadium (2-1), OM came back to within five points of the leader.

With this defeat, the 11e title for PSG is not in danger, but the Parisians see OM getting closer once again. On Sunday, Christophe Galtier, who has still not started young people trained at the club, preferred a four-man defense and a 4-4-2 system with the Spaniard Carlos Soler in the lead, in which his players seemed lost.

Apathetic PSG

The Hakes, who had no wins in the last five games and two defeats, logically benefited from this. After a good movement from the Bretons and on a low cross from Romain Faivre, Enzo Le Fée opened the scoring with a clear shot, out of reach for the Parisian goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma (15e).

In the process, still apathetic, the PSG was reduced to ten (20e) following Achraf Hakimi’s second yellow card, this time sanctioned for a sole on Darlin Yongwa’s ankle. Thanks to a gag goal from Kylian Mbappé, author of his 23e goal in L1 this season, PSG equalized (29e): when the referee had asked to play, Merlus goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo put the ball on the ground. Roublard, the Parisian, who was walking away, came back to play the ball, before shooting and scoring in the empty goal.

But Darlin Yongwa, who scored for the first time in Ligue 1, restored the advantage to Lorient at the end of the first period (39e). Romain Faivre took advantage of the spaces left by the Parisians and wandered around the box, eliminating Marco Verratti and Juan Bernat before crossing.

Neymar in tribune

The entry of Fabian Ruiz at half-time, who replaced Soler, once again non-existent, did not change much, even if the Parisians tried more. Ruiz also lacked precision on a volley (54e), just like Sergio Ramos who narrowly missed the target on a Messi corner (59e). Thanks to a fine save from the header, the Merlus goalkeeper avoided Danilo’s equalizer with a header.

In front of a Parc des Princes deprived of the Auteuil stand, closed following a sanction, and under the eyes of Neymar, who returned to Paris after a period in Brazil and his ankle operation, Lorient broke PSG at the end of the game (87e). On loan from OM to Les Merlus, Bamba Dieng left alone against a long clearance from the Lorient area. The striker first stumbled on Donnarumma, but followed the ball and finished in the empty net. Just before, a goal had been disallowed for offside for Lorient.

OM beat Auxerre and get closer to Paris

Olympique de Marseille, long trailing, won 2-1 against Auxerre (14e) at the Velodrome stadium. Before moving to Lens next week, Marseille (2e), which is eight games unbeaten in the league, is four lengths ahead of the northern club, which will play in Toulouse on Tuesday in a late game. Auxerre opened the scoring with Birama Touré (33e) but OM reversed the deal in two minutes, through Cengiz Ünder (75e) then Alexis Sanchez (77e).
