CantaElba returns to Capoliveri, featuring live music. Three events dedicated to bel canto, as usual, for the festival organized by the Municipality of Capoliveri and the PazzEvents Foundation, which will be held in the classic setting of Piazza Matteotti from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 August, in three different evenings that will be presented by Raffaello Zanieri, flanked by two Miss Isola d’Elba: the 2023 winner Sharon Gruttadauria and the Miss Elba 2024 Carolina Soleti.
Everything revolves around the classic singing competition: on Monday 26th, in fact, the so-called “first voices” will perform, very young singers at their first experiences, with guests from “Io Canto family” and “The Voice Senior”. Guest star of the evening, at the end of the performances and after a small but interesting fashion show, the well-known DJ Luciano Gaggia, with his music from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Tuesday 27th will be the turn of the “young people”, in a kermesse that will see as a guest the young singer from Elba Luca Del Torto, but immediately after there will be an appointment with live music, with VIP guests: first space for the “bel canto”, with the performance of the great tenor from Elba Marco Ciaponi, and then the Elba band “The Reef” will enter the scene, which will have the honor of accompanying three big names in an exceptional crescendo. First of all the Italian voice par excellence of Progressive Rock, Bernardo Lanzetti, who sang with the Italian bands Acqua Fragile and PFM, and who boasts collaborations with artists of the caliber of Ian Anderson, Greg Lake and Steve Hackett; then it will be the turn of Steve Biondi, brother of the more famous Mario but no less capable of riding soul and jazz melodies. The grand finale will be up to the singer and performer from Elba Irene Guglielmi, with her dance music.
Wednesday 28th will start with the CantaElba awards, and then continue with a new interlude by the three artists Marco Ciaponi, Bernardo Lanzetti and Steve Biondi. The Special Guest of the evening will be Dario Ballantini. Post-expressionist painter, sculptor, actor for cinema, TV and theatre, radio host, singer, inimitable quick-change artist, Dario Ballantini will bring his “Rock Live Show” to the stage, a show full of music, quick-change and gags supported by an exceptional band, where he will perform his warhorses imitating Vasco, Zucchero, Gianni Morandi and other singers.
A real festival, CantaElba 2024. All evenings will start at 9.00 pm, and will have free admission.
