The Ministry of Public Administration said that from next Wednesday (31 July) all public and private offices will run according to the normal schedule. This information was confirmed in a notification from the public relations department of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday (July 30) at noon. In the light of this directive of the government, it has been decided to return the trading schedule to normal in both capital markets of the country.
From Wednesday, two stock exchanges of the country will trade for 4 and a half hours. Trading in the capital market started at 10 am on this day. It will continue till 2:30 PM. During this time post closing will be from 2:20 PM to 2:30 PM.

In this regard, the Deputy General Manager of Public Relations and Publication Department of Dhaka Stock Exchange said. Shafiqur Rahman told RisingBD that in the light of the government’s instructions, the trading schedule of the capital market has been brought back to normal. In view of the government’s new guidelines, the trading in the Dhaka Stock Exchange will start at 10 am and continue till 2:30 pm. During this time post closing will be from 2:20 PM to 2:30 PM.
Meanwhile, Tanya Begum, Public Relations Officer of the company confirmed to RisingBD that the Chittagong Stock Exchange will continue as normal in light of the government’s directives.
Incidentally, trading in the capital market started last Wednesday (July 24) after three consecutive days of general holiday announced by the government in view of the quota reform movement. That day and the following day Thursday (July 25) trading in both the country’s stock exchanges started at 11 am and continued till 2 pm in view of government directives. At this time, public and private offices run from 11 am to 3 pm. Last Saturday (July 27) from the Ministry of Public Administration, the schedule of public and private offices was determined from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the light of that instruction, trading is conducted from Sunday to Tuesday in both capital markets from 10 am to 2 pm.
