US President Joe Biden said he was “devastated” by today’s attack on Capitol Hill which led to the death of Officer William Evans. Biden expressed his condolences to the family and arranged for the White House flags to be displayed at half mast.
The same provision was given by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, for the Capitol. This was announced in a tweet by the Deputy Chief of Staff of Pelosi, Drew Hammill.
