Russia is increasingly using irregular forces in offensive operations in Ukraine, the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense said. In a statement posted on the X social network, the ministry says Moscow is using forces that are “unprepared and untrained.”
Irregular forces are soldiers who do not belong to the regular armed forces, police or other internal security forces.
Meanwhile, the situation at the front remains difficult. Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, informed that despite heavy losses, the Russians continue to advance towards Pokrovsk, active combat actions of varying intensity are taking place along the entire front line.
“It is important to prepare staffs at all levels in order to maximize the combat capabilities of the soldiers and reduce our losses. Therefore, this time I also checked how the reserve is being prepared to participate in combat operations,” said the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who will visit various sections of the front.
According to O. Syrskis, training of Ukrainian soldiers takes place as close as possible to a real combat situation, using drones simulating enemy actions.
