Captured in East Village Frank James wanted in subway shooting

It was a passer-by who recognized him on Canal Street and photographed him with his cell phone, then sounding the alarm to a patrol of police, who arrested James in St. Marks Place, between North Houston Street and the Ukrainian Village.
