Jubail: A Saudi citizen and his four-year-old son died after their car was hit by a train in western Austria. While trying to cross the tracks, the vehicle in which the Saudi family was traveling got stuck on the railway track. After getting his wife and two children out of the car and moving him from the side of the track, he was trying to get the four-year-old boy out of the child seat when the train rushed and knocked him down. The deceased’s relative, Mohammed Al Sharif in Saudi Arabia, revealed the details of the accident on Twitter.

The baby, who was seriously injured, died at the scene and the father died at a hospital in St. Johann. The 34-year-old mother and two other children aged seven and 11 survived. The 35-year-old Saudi citizen had gone to spend a holiday with his family in Austria. The accident happened at what is known as the Eiger Crossing in the town of St. Johann in Tyrol. The train was going from Kitzbühel to St. Johann when it was hit.
