Procter & Gamble, also known as P&G, a manufacturer of consumer products not only in India but globally, has voluntarily acknowledged the presence of benzene in its aerosol dry conditioner spray and aerosol dry shampoo spray and has announced the withdrawal of about 30 products.
Aerosol Dry Conditioner Spray and Aerosol Dry Shampoo Spray and Old Spice, Hair Product from Procter & Gamble US-made brands Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences and Waterl. ) Brand aerosol dry shampoo is on the verge of being withdrawn from the customer level.
Benzene is classified as a chemical that causes human cancer. If the benzene chemical enters the body through inhalation, oral and skin, it is more likely to cause cancer.
Not only cancer but also leukemia and bone marrow cancer and life threatening diseases are possible.
P&G explained that exposure modeling and cancer risk assessments by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have shown that the benzene levels in the 30 products currently being recalled by the company do not have adverse health effects even if used daily.
P&G has also explained to its US customers that benzene has an impact only on the production patch of some of the 30 products currently under the 6 brands announced.
The company also issued a statement explaining how to get a refund for these items and which bust number has this problem.

While benzene is not a product of any of our products, P&G has announced that it intends to examine how benzene came to be present in these 6 brands of shampoo and conditioner products.
According to Procter & Gamble, P&G’s 6 products mentioned above are only affected in the US, but not in other countries.
