Cardiologist Yuri Konev called the exaggerated danger of the “baric mountain”, which is expected in Moscow in the coming days due to high atmospheric pressure.

“There are not so many meteosensitive people. Those people who really respond to the increase and decrease in blood pressure just need to see a doctor and adjust the dose of their treatment. The threat of an increase in blood pressure seems to me exaggerated, ”the specialist noted in an interview with REN TV.

According to the doctor, the majority of citizens can easily tolerate high atmospheric pressure. Meteosensitive people usually respond to this phenomenon by raising or lowering blood pressure, the cardiologist added.

Earlier that day, forecasters warned the residents of Moscow about the “baric mountain”, which will manifest itself in the form of a record high atmospheric pressure early next week. So, on Monday and Tuesday it will be 768 mm Hg. Art., which is 20-22 units higher than the norm. As the experts explained, such atmospheric pressure can be illustrated by immersion in a mine to a depth of 220 m.

On September 30, the leading employee of the Phobos weather center, Yevgeny Tishkovets, promised the residents of the capital a “Martian” October, since the deficit of precipitation in the first half of the month could reach 60%. He said that the first part of the month will be 1-2 degrees warmer than expected. Due to the lack of precipitation and low humidity in the air, the constant presence of dust will be felt, which is a characteristic feature of the atmosphere of Mars, pointed out Tishkovets.
