Care services for victims of violence and care for unprotected children and adolescents will continue to work during long holidays

President Vizcarra verifies expansion of the service of Line 100, of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations, which deals with cases of violence against women

Services of Line 100, CEM and the Special Protection Unit will attend the long holiday for Easter

During this long holiday, the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) reported that immediate care and prevention services before cases of violence against women and members of the family group they will be handled normally.

In turn, the MIMP called on citizens to denounce any act that puts their lives at risk (women, girls, adolescents, older adults, etc.). The MIMP remains vigilant and alert to any act of violence.

Los care services such as Line 100, Women’s Emergency Centers (CEM), Urgent Care Service (SAU), Anna Line 1810 and the Special Protection Unit (UPE) will remain alert 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a team interdisciplinary, to provide support and attention to events that violate the integrity and rights of women and vulnerable populations.

CEM

The Women’s Emergency Centers (CEM) is a prevention, protection and care service to care for women, girls and members of the family group at risk of violence.

It is worth mentioning that at the national level we have 430 CEMs nationwide, of which 184 are located in police stations, the same ones that are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays and that provide social, legal and psychological care.

Also, the service line 100 provides information, guidance, counseling and emotional support in Quechua, Aymara and Spanish to people affected by acts of violence against women and members of the family group.

On the other hand, the Special Protection Units (UPE)a service specializing in the care of children and adolescents without parental care or at risk of losing it, will continue with their care through their urgent care teams.

Finally, professionals Anna Line 1810 of the MIMP, which provide telephone assistance in cases of girls, boys and adolescents at risk or lack of family protection, will continue to provide this service during holidays and weekends.
