Ashdod Port launches a new and efficient service for private customers – private import declaration. As of today, it is no longer necessary to physically come to the port offices in order to release personal import cargo, but to go to the website and perform the operations there. The development was carried out by Comtech using the Infobay product for secure internet communication.

As part of the new service, it is possible to perform a number of simple actions remotely, in order to release the loads for personal importation: entering the “Private Import Declaration” link on the home page of the website of the Ashdod Port Company, entering the details of the import declaration and attaching the references, receiving an SMS to pay the invoice on the website. After paying the invoice on the website, permission will be given to release the cargo.
