jpnn.comJAKARTA – The North Jakarta Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) held a clean operation and sustainable lifestyle movement activity to commemorate National Nature Conservation Day, Sunday (11/8/2024).

The activity, which was held at Rajawali Market, West Pademangan, North Jakarta, was led directly by the Head of the North Jakarta PDI Perjuangan Branch Irwan Setiadi and Secretary Brando Susanto.

Brando Susanto said that hundreds of PDI Perjuangan cadres in North Jakarta were present to participate in community service, cleaning up trash as a form of the party’s obedience in caring for and maintaining the balance of human life and nature.

“The commemoration of HKAN is not just a commemoration of an ordinary day. However, it must be realized by every individual as a human being to try to maintain and care for the environment, especially the cleanliness of the surrounding environment,” said Brando.

According to Brando, the PDI Perjuangan DPP has given instructions to all PDI Perjuangan cadres including the regional head candidates to implement a clean lifestyle in each district/city to pay attention to the waste problem.

“We were all taught that politics is not just about power, but building civilization. In addition, waste management and the clean environment movement are concrete evidence that through political power based on the needs of society, we can make changes for a better life,” he said.

In addition, he added, PDI Perjuangan cadres are also taught not to be five-yearly guests, only stopping by to seek votes in the legislative, presidential and regional elections in their area, even though the community is waiting for joint work to resolve existing problems, even though not all of them have been resolved.

“In the Dasa Prasetya, the concentration of waste issues will be followed up by regional heads. This is a form of party obedience to ecological balance. And, in point seven (7), it is stated that PDI Perjuangan cadres have an obligation to participate in preserving the environment and protecting the earth,” he said.
