A control judge determined the Ahumada’s release due to the statute of limitations for the crimes of generic and continued fraud, of which he was accused; therefore, he will not have to serve the year, 10 months and 23 days remaining on his prison sentence.

Ahumada was extradited to Mexico to serve a pending sentence for fraud, but was not arrested because he had a provisional suspension and has since obtained a definitive one.
