The young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, world No.1 since his victory at the US Open in early September, will headline the Astana Open next week in Kazakhstan after taking a few days off, a- he said Wednesday.

After the Astana Open, Alcaraz will travel to Basel, to the land of Roger Federer who has just officially retired as a tennis player. Then he will play the Bercy tournament in Paris and the Turin Masters in November, hoping to end a historic season there in style.
