The induction ceremony is expected to see a record 60 Hall of Famers in attendance, including Football Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman. Beltrán and Jones Elected via BBWAA Ballot
Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones both earned their induction through the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BWAA) ballot. Beltrán, a nine-time All-Star and 1999 AL Rookie of the Year, was selected in his fourth year of eligibility with 84.2 percent of the vote. He will be inducted as a member of the New York Mets, becoming only the third player to represent the franchise in the Hall of Fame alongside Mike Piazza and Tom Seaver.
