Veteran actor Carlos Vereza, a former TV Globo employee, reiterated his criticism of the militants who created a block for “trans children” during the last Gay Parade. According to him, putting children under such serious choices “is cowardice”.
In an interview with TV network!, the actor was emphatic in defending his position: “7-year-old children do not have free will to choose their sexuality. It’s cowardice. There are no trans children. This is a lie”.
“I recorded a video that went viral and I don’t regret it. Quite the contrary, because how can a 7-year-old child… you see: a 7-year-old child, if he kills his neighbor, is arrested, isn’t that true? Go to reformatory. Now, how is this 7 year old going to choose to be trans? It’s a lie, biologically. It’s a lie against all the laws of biology. It’s a lie, ”she argued.
Vereza, who has already been harassed in other circumstances for confronting narratives of LGBT militancy and transgenderism, declared that the parents of these children exposed in the Gay Parade were wrong: “And you, an adult, take a child and put it on parade… then I had to record it [um vídeo em protesto]right?”, he justified.

In 2017, Vereza – who practices spiritism – went to the Planalto Palace for an audience with then-President Michel Temer (MDB) and spoke to the press, defending that men can’t get pregnant:
