Beyond television, she has headlined comedy clubs and colleges, and starred in two distinct Las Vegas production shows. Over a ten-year period as a prominent figure in the Las Vegas entertainment scene, it is estimated that Montgomery has been seen live by over 5 million people.
Championing Women in Comedy
Montgomery’s commitment to elevating female voices in comedy is especially noteworthy. In 2019, she created and filmed FUNNY WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, a show featuring established female comedians over the age of 50, for the Showtime network. The special premiered on March 23rd, 2019, to critical acclaim and became the network’s highest-rated comedy premiere of that year.
The success of the initial special led to two subsequent installments: MORE FUNNY WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, which debuted on March 14th, 2020, and EVEN MORE FUNNY WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, premiering on November 24th, 2021, filmed amidst the challenges of the global pandemic.All three specials are slated for rerelease in March 2025 through Comedy Dynamics, a powerhouse in comedy production.
Beyond the Stage: Directing and Supporting the Troops
Montgomery’s talents extend beyond performing.She is also an accomplished director and producer, having directed Jim Florentine’s solo show I’M YOUR SAVIOR, currently available on Amazon Prime. Furthermore, she produced the stand-up specials SHANG IS SHANGRY and PAUL OGATA: ALL LIES in collaboration with KILLER BUNNY.
However, Montgomery considers her 11 comedy tours for Armed Forces Entertainment among her proudest achievements. General Admission doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show beginning promptly at 7:30 PM. Attendees are reminded to arrive on time. Outside food and drinks are prohibited, though a full bar will be available for beverage purchases, alongside a limited selection of snacks. Due to health department regulations, ice will not be provided for drinks, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
The event is open to those aged 18 and over, with those 21 and older permitted to consume alcohol. Valid identification will be checked at the door. Seating is general admission, and large groups are encouraged to contact organizers in advance.
