I am delighted to return with lots of surprises to share with the Moroccan public,” said the artist, who spoke at a press conference on the eve of his inaugural concert at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat.
Carole Samaha, who is keen to keep the element of surprise to amaze the Mawazine audience, nevertheless assured that the Moroccan touch will be present in the repertoire she will offer on this occasion.
“It is a varied repertoire including old and new titles,” said the artist, who intends to perform both his own songs and those of other singers, “in several languages with a fusion of styles.”
The singer is thus registering her participation in the spirit of the Mawazine festival, which she is happy to see return after four years of interruption due to the Covid pandemic.
“Bravo to Morocco, which had the courage to come back with a festival that attracts so many artists,” she said.
Asked about her plans, Carole Samaha said she is working on a new album that she hopes to release next August and find success with the public.
“It’s been 8 years since I made an album. Until now I only made singles,” explained the one who will remain faithful to her repertoire consisting mainly of romantic songs.
On possible cooperation projects with Moroccan artists, Carole Samaha affirmed that there is no project in this direction for the moment, while ensuring that she remains open on the question.
