Belgian Yannick Carrasco, the winger of Saudi Al-Shabab, revealed a major surprise regarding joining the ranks of Jeddah Union, after Louay Mashabi, the president of “Al-Ameed”, announced the completion of all details related to the deal.
Al-Mash’abi appeared in a meeting with the media, during which he announced reaching an agreement with the Al-Shabab management regarding contracting with Carrasco, after convincing the player and his agent, and the official announcement will be made within hours.
Regarding this matter, Carrasco said in statements to the media after the Al-Shabab and Al-Khaleej match: “I am very happy with Al-Shabab, because the team gave me everything, and the same is true for the fans who support me a lot.”
He added: “I am currently under contract with Al-Shabab and I respect that a lot. I do not know what is going on regarding the transfer to Al-Ittihad at the present time.”
Carrasco scored Al-Shabab’s winning goal against Al-Khaleej, yesterday evening, Thursday, in the second round of the Saudi Professional League.
It seems that the deal is on its way to failure after the statements of the president of Al-Ittihad Club, which came before the official announcement of the contract with the player.
