Cars: Maybach shows luxury off-roaders – full of luxury and designed by star designers

by time news

What happens when one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands and one of the world’s most famous star designers join forces? In the case of Maybach and Virgil Abloh, a car that the luxurious Mercedes offshoot had not previously offered: a mixture of off-road vehicle and coupe – it shouldn’t be a classic SUV – and all of it with an impressive length.

The “Project Maybach” will never drive, but it is the model for a special collection from Maybach, which will actually be on the streets in a strictly limited number. The vehicle, designed together with Mercedes Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener in 2021, is available in a strictly limited edition of 150 units.

From the outside, both the “Project Maybach” and the limited Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are easily recognizable by the two-tone special paintwork. While the upper part of the vehicle is finished in glossy black, the lower part as well as the side walls and rims are painted in a sand tone.
