Cars24 Lays Off 600 Employees To Cut Cost

Cars24, a used car dealership, has laid off 600 employees in the last two weeks alone.

It is learned that most of the dismissals in the company were at the grassroots level. Accordingly, 6.6 per cent of the company, which employs more than 9,000 people, has been laid off.

After Vedantu, Unacademy and Misho, Cars 24, the automobile company now in IPO, has laid off about 600 employees in the last two weeks alone. The startup has laid off employees in almost all their divisions.

Previously, Vedantu was an education-based EduTech start-up based in Bangalore. The company was last launched in 2014. Vedanta is one of the unicorn start-ups in India. The company is also constantly raising funds at regular intervals.

As a result, it has recently laid off 424 employees, up from about 200 recently.

Following in the footsteps of Vedanta, start-up Anakatami laid off 600 employees. In that line, Cars24 has now laid off 600 employees. The decision is said to have been made to reduce the company’s costs.
