Co-organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health and the e-Health Innovation Center of the Mohammed V University of Rabat, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, this forum aims to raise awareness of cutting-edge technologies in digital health, facilitate networking between health professionals, technological innovators, investors and regulators, and to enrich debates on the future of digital health.
Held under the theme “The Age of Digital Health: Towards Quality Care for All”, this two-day event features more than 50 roundtables and scientific workshops that will allow participants to explore crucial topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) in health, telemedicine, robotics, cybersecurity and health data protection, while promoting the exchange of ideas and collaboration on concrete projects aimed at improving health care in Morocco .
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tahraoui, indicated that the International E-Health Forum brings together experts, decision-makers and innovators from around the world to exchange ideas and share experiences in order to to contribute to the development of digital health, highlighting the profound transformation of the health system in the Kingdom, thanks to the High Guidelines of HM the King.
This transformation has become a necessity, underlined Mr. Tahraoui, for the improvement of access to health care, the optimization of resources, and the use of new technologies to respond to different challenges, noting that digitalization is an essential lever for this sector which must adapt to developments, integrate AI and strengthen technological infrastructures.
For her part, the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, underlined, in a statement to the press, the desire of her department to support the digitalization of the technology sector. health in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines, noting that digitalization is a vector of growth in all sectors, including health.
In this sense, she underlined the importance of this forum allowing participants to share their expertise on innovations in digital health, highlighting the need to integrate AI into the development of health care.
For his part, the President and CEO of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health, Prof. Lahcen Belyamani, affirmed, in a speech read on his behalf, that this forum is part of the vision of HM the King who aspires to guarantee a modern health system accessible to all, adding that this initiative emanates from a strong commitment to the development of this sector, in particular through the broadening of the technological field in health practice in order to improve particularly the quality and accessibility of care.
This event aims to be a rich platform for exchange which offers innovative solutions to the challenges of the health sector, he continued, reviewing recent advances and the main themes which will be debated, in this case, the generalized social coverage, telemedicine and the integration of AI.
Note that alongside the opening of this edition of the Forum, a number of agreements were signed to promote scientific research in the digitalization of the health sector, in particular the establishment of an academy and a laboratory research in e-health.
In addition, this event offers a hackathon, where students and creative minds will develop technological solutions to meet health challenges in Morocco. Several Master classes are also included in the program to promote the transfer of knowledge and skills in digital health.
Prizes for the best thesis, best scientific communications and most innovative startups will also reward excellence in research and innovation in digital health.

T.N.: And what about concerns around cybersecurity and data protection? With the rise of digital health solutions, how should stakeholders address these challenges?
D.H.E: Cybersecurity is paramount. As we digitize health records and processes, it’s vital to implement robust security measures to protect patient data. Collaboration between healthcare providers and technology experts will be essential in developing systems that are secure yet flexible enough to adapt to future risks.
