Morocco won the medal by sharing third place with the Cameroonian team. Russia won the gold medal, while the silver medal went to Romania.

In a statement to MAP, the national team coach, Imad Mohamed, welcomed this feat, indicating that it is a consecration of the efforts deployed by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sambo and Tai-Jitsu (FRMSTJ).

“The bronze medal won, and the presence of three Moroccan champions on the podium in individual events testify to the strength of the Moroccan selection, considered one of the best at the Arab and African level,” he stressed.

He noted that the exploits of the Moroccan champions are in line with the expectations of the FRMSTJ, aiming to reach international podiums, and that the contact of Moroccan athletes with the best schools in the world will contribute to raising the level of the discipline.

He added: “The Beach Sambo World Championship is an opportunity to prepare for upcoming competitions, including the Sambo World Championship scheduled for November 6-11 in Kazakhstan.”

For his part, Alexander Korsik, Director of Finance and Development at the International Sambo Federation, indicated that the 4th edition of the World Beach Sambo Championship held in Morocco was “a great success”, highlighting “the very high level of the organization and the efforts made by the various stakeholders to ensure the success of this sporting event at all levels.”
